In the early 70's Dad and I built a small speedboat from an aluminium drop tank, an external fuel tank used to extend the range of military aircraft. This footage was taken back then using our clockwork Canon Standard 8 film camera, at St Kilda Marina, Melbourne, and Eildon Weir, in country Victoria, Australia.
Having heard the news that a significant section of the Amazon had been exposed, we made a (very) early start, and headed off to Inverloch to get there for the 7:21am low tide on Thursday 5 September 2024.
