I've been messing about with boats most of my life, and in 2002 I started building wooden boats, kayaks, and models.
I wanted Amelia and Wiliam to grow up around boats, and more importantly, I wanted them to grow up around boats that we had either built or restored. So far I've built Rosamund, a 12'6" Northumbrian Coble, Kirsty Ann, a 17' Core Sound 17, Pitthirrit, a Lapwing 16, a few Cockleshell kayaks, and some remote control boats loosely based on our Core Sound Mk1. My most recent boat is Nyatne, a Core Sound 17 Mk3, started in May 2025, and completed in February 2026.
We are active members of the Wooden Boat Association.
