Now retired, Peter spends his time sailing, building boats, diving, cycling, exploring the world of 3D printing, trying to improve his astrophotography skills, and tinkering around the house to make it more energy efficient.

He joined the Wooden Boat Association in 2003, and since 2006 has served on the WBA committee in a variery of roles, including Newsletter Editor, Website Manager, President, and, currently, Vice President of the association.  Peter is also a member of the Dinghy Cruising Association, and the Astronomical Society of Victoria.

Peter is a Life Member of the Australian Web Accessibility Initiative. Until recently, he was a member of the Committee of Management of the Disability Discrimination Legal Service.

Peter worked on a diverse range of Internet and CD-ROM related projects from 1995 to 2023. Prior to starting Internet Technology Services, Peter had worked in the information technology area for Melbourne IT, the Joint Council of Subject Associations of Victoria, and as a lecturer at RMIT University (in the Sunrise Research Laboratory). Before that, having left his teaching career to pursue his passion, he ran his own kite making business. In 2000 Peter started Internet Technology Services, a website development, web hosting and IT support business that expanded to include conference and video services. ITS was sold in 2023 to Kinetic Presentation Systems.

Some of the IT projects that Peter worked on include online professional development courses for RMIT and Art Education Victoria, websites for the Mathematical Association of Victoria, Art Education Victoria, the Victorian Association of Teachers of English, the Council of Professional Teaching Associations of Victoria, QuIET Network, Victorian TAFE International, the Wooden Boat Association of Victoria, the Australian Kite Association, and a variety of other non-profit organisations. He worked on a number of web-based CD-ROMs, including the OzEkids discs and several for RMIT University. Peter also worked on the development of the Education Channel for the Victorian Department of Education, Employment and Training.
