We now offer Web Based email. Our implementation supports the following features:
Please note that users may not give away free email to visitors to their website using our web mail service. If they need this they should use the free email services of bigmailbox.com.
Web based email gives you the ability to send and receive email without the need to configure your email client. The benefits of this include the ability to access your email anywhere as long as you have web access. Ease of use as their is no need to specify all those technical settings and you can access your email on more than one computer without having to configure an email client.
Web Based email is automatically activated on every domain on our servers. Just like email your domain must resolve if you are to use web-based email to receive email. Please click here to ensure that your domain is resolving correctly
To access Web Based email simply browse to http://mail.yourdomain.com
to login and enter a valid email address and password for your domain.
Our implementation of Web Based Email uses common menus. Whilst browsing anywhere in your folders you can simply click on an icon on the navigation bar to carry out a function.
To send email simply click on the Compose button from anywhere in your folders. You will be presented with the following.
To delete a message simply navigate to the folder containing the message and select it by ticking the checkbox against the message.
Once selected click the Delete/Undelete button. You will notice that the message will now have a strike put through it, stating that this has been deleted
If you have accidentally deleted that important message it may still be recoverable providing you have not Purged these delete items. When you delete a message it is stored in the trash. The message is still retrievable providing you do not empty the trash.
To undelete a message that has been placed in the trash, first select the message by placing a tick against the message you wish to undelete and then click the Delete/Undelete button.
You're message will now return to its default state without the strike through the message details
When messages are deleted by clicking the delete icon once selected they are marked as deleted but can still be retrieved. If you wish to purge the deleted messages click the Purge Deleted Messages button
This will removed all deleted messages in all folders for the mail box you are logged in as and the folder shall no longer contain any messages that were previously deleted.
You can use the address book to store user's email address's and other descriptive information such as their location that may be helpful to store. Adding entries to your address book can actually save you time when sending email's. Just like a speed dial on a phone you can use the address book to send email's to people without the need to constantly re-specify their email address.
To access your Address Book click on the Address Book icon on the navigation bar on the left. You will then be presented with the current contacts in your address book.
The contact list now be updated to reflect the new contact added
To change default language of the web based email client click on the Display icon on the navigation menu left of screen. To change the language simply choose your desired language from the pull down menu.
The displayed language will then attempt to load the character set for this language. You're PC must have this character set installed other wise you shall be prompted to install this
To add a default signature to all outgoing messages click the Options icon on the navigation menu left of screen. You will be presented with the following
Type in the message you wish to be automatically appended to your outgoing messages and click Save Settings.
Whilst logged in via Vop Mail Web you shall not be able to check your mail box via a email client. It is important that you allways log off either by clicking the log off icon or visiting another web page (as this automatically logs you off). For security purposes the mailbox is locked until you log off. A typical error message may look like
